By now you will have heard the news that we are to close our doors to all pupils apart from those whose parents are key workers and those pupils whom we feel are vulnerable, from tomorrow morning.
Keyworker parents in Years 7 and 8 have already been informed today about their child’s entitlement to a place from tomorrow. We now need to establish which pupils are eligible to attend from years 5 and 6. I sent a Google form out this afternoon to gather this information in anticipation of this evening’s announcement. Thank you to all the parents who have already completed this form. I am in the process of checking the responses to confirm eligibility and will send out an email later this evening to confirm that your child can attend.
The announcement this evening was not one we were anticipating when we came to work today, and we were gearing up to welcome back Key Stage 2 pupils tomorrow for face to face learning. Staff will of course be adapting their plans this evening to deliver online learning from tomorrow morning, so please ask your children to log onto their Google classroom for lesson 1 in the morning. Could I ask for patience whilst we iron out any issues that may occur in the morning. I suspect that some of my staff will also find themselves with their children at home until keyworker provision is sorted.
There will be many questions that staff, pupils and parents will have following this evening’s announcement. My team and I will do our best to update you with information as it becomes available to us. In the meantime, if you have any urgent questions, please could you contact the appropriate Head Of Year using the email addresses below:
