Which pupils benefit from the Catch-Up funding?
The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of key stage 2.
How much additional funding is the school entitled to?
During 2017/18 we received £14,254 of extra funds. The amount for 2018/19 will be £14,480
How will the school use the funding?
We will use our funding to support catch-up by:
- Identifying slow progress following early identification of individual areas of weakness.
- Providing additional in-class support by Teaching Assistants within the classroom.
- Providing intensive small-group tuition in core aspects of Literacy and Numeracy (Intervention).
How did we decide what would be the most effective use of our Catch-up funding?
We used the following research to determine how we would provide for our pupils who are working below age related expectations:
How did we use our funding during 2017/18 and how successful was our strategy?
