One of the North’s Premier Historical Centre, 90 minutes along the road is a great choice for a first UK experience. Visits to York Minster, one of Europe’s finest cathedrals, then over the road to the Jorvik centre to see and smell york as it was in viking times. Clifford Tower rounds off day one. Accommodation is centrally located in YHA York International and includes full board. A visit to Eden Camp brings to life World War two, followed by a boat trip on the river Ouse, where York past and present can be seen from the waterway. A trip to the National Railway Museum finishes off our living history trip for year 5 pupils.
