On Thursday 7th December 2017 we will be supporting North Tyneside’s unplugged event. On that we are encouraging staff, pupils and their families to take a look at their relationship with technology and consider taking time away from it. Lessons that day will, where possible, use alternative methods of delivery other than technology, and seek to reinforce the idea of a healthy relationship with our devices.
Please sign up and support this North Tyneside School’s Advisory Service initiative at tiny.cc/unplug with a chance of winning vouchers for brilliant things to do with your family (that don’t involve a screen). Prizes include restaurant meal vouchers, free swimming, martial arts lessons, kayak and paddle boarding family lessons, soft play entries, local museum passes and more. The opportunity to sign up your place of work is also there if you feel you can spread the message further. Thank you, and have a great unplugged day.
RE: Maternity Cover 2017-18 for Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Megan Maddison our SENCO will be on maternity leave from November 2017 until Summer or Autumn 2018. We send our best wishes to her and her family and look forward to her return later next year.
Until then a new SENCO, Alan Carrick, is joining us. You can contact him through the school office or by email at email@example.com
If you have any questions about the additional support your son or daughter receives please contact your child’s Form Teacher in the first instance. Alternatively the additional needs team will be happy to help too.
Senior Leadership Team
Thanks to all who contributed to the training day yesterday. The workshops were very informative and delivered to such a high quality. We have some very talented staff here at school.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming our new Y5 pupils and all of our existing pupils on Tuesday. See you all then.
